Coaches Background:
Graduating business school as a court reporter. Court Reporter in New York State Supreme Court for 30 years. Also, did closed captioning in court for hearing impaired. I had a transcription business that flowed from my court reporting work. I was Union president of Long Island Region of court employees for 5 years. Real estate management and investment of personal income-producing property.   Executive Board Social Action Chairman of my local 800-member religious congregation. I found my passion in coaching and five years ago accepted an incentive early retirement package from New York State and transitioned to professional coaching.

Introducing Coach Warren!
There is a simple equation for ADD clients to reach success. It is good therapy + good coaching = success. Therapy can be traditional, non-traditional or a combination of both. Once the client is on that road to good health, I then work with them as to their short and long-term goals, time management issues, organizational skills, social skills, career planning. Above all, finding their passion. It is making their dream a reality by co-creating a plan to achieve it. Then a world of opportunity opens up without limitation.

This coach requires:
While my coaching style is conversational and light-hearted, I am serious about a client attending our scheduled sessions. Also, giving me ample notice for rescheduling a session. ADD clients often have an issue with punctuality, and I coach them around that.

I also want to see the client do the work that we discussed at the end of the session. If they don't, we'll go over that during the following session and again strategize creating a system to get the work accomplished. I also require clients to have FUN, be in the moment and enjoy their lives; in other words, having a good life balance.

This coach volunteers because:
I have been blessed during my life to be mentored on a number of levels. In Court reporting I was mentored by my instructor who volunteered numerous hours. I asked him, "Why?" He said, "Because I saw a spark of talent and it motivated me to help you." I did have a successful career, and I taught court reporting part time as well as mentoring student reporters. My initial coaching opportunities were from referrals from ADD Coach Academy and also partnering with another more experienced generic coach. Also a CoachU graduate, the generic coach and myself buddy coached, and I gave her insight into ADD Coaching. We then did a joint pro bono workshop for parents and teachers at a local private school with a fair number of ADD students. Appreciative of my abundant blessings, coaching for GSSF is an opportunity to share my blessings with the community.

This coach is unique because:
What makes me a unique coach is passion and compassion. As is generally the case, ADD Coaches are ADD/ADHD themselves as I am. I have walked in my clients shoes and know how the syndrome can be paralyzing. Then again, I also know that once the curtain opens, one's life is before them, and clients have no limitations. My varied background and experience uniquely suits me for the role, and I love seeing ADDers excel and reach their life goals.

This coach offers these life tips:
1. What comes to mind immediately is a quotation that I live by. Winston Churchill -- that many experts believe was retrospectively ADD -- said "That 'success' is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm." I have found in my life that perseverance ultimately brings success. It's NEVER giving up.
2. Another tip is to look at ourselves not as a brain disconnected from our bodies. We are whole and, therefore, holistic. It is the body-mind connection. Exercise, diet, ADD treatment, coaching, a multimodality approach to reach success.
3. Find JOY in life. What's past is past, one cannot bring it back. One can learn from it, and then move on. So being in the moment is so integral to breathing life in and not letting it slip away.

Coaches private practice information:
Not unlike so many other coaches, I went through a metamorphosis of working with small business owners and then more specifically with a broad spectrum of ADD clients. What I found is that I LOVED working with ADD college students. They were ravenous for knowledge and success but were lost in an ADD maze. Together we co-engineered strategies dealing with time management, organizational skills and all of those roadblocks to a productive life. We accentuated their innate gifts and they discovered that they can reach for the stars.
